Do you ever think: “The CIP works well, so I don’t have to worry about that?”
That’s nice to hear of course, but we actually recommend that you take a look at it.
Then you will find at least a pearl. How much would it be worth?
CIP Trends provides you with a wealth of information. Not only does it show whether all cleaning conditions have been met, but it also logs all relevant data from your CIP cleaning. If you analyze this data (don’t scroll away, we’ll explain below how easy it is!), you can determine if the cleaning process is effective and efficient. And there you will find gems.
As a new colleague joining your team the CIP plays it safe. After all, he has to prove himself among all those old hands in the business.
After a while, he wants to start an improvement process. But because he does his job well, his supervisor doesn’t look at his charts on Trends.
His graphs show which processes run optimally and which can be shortened.
Or his boss thinks: “The CIP is taking a long time today” and moves on. There is a good chance that the CIP took a step back somewhere, because he may not have reached his temperature right away. In both cases, the boss throws money away.
But from now on, you won’t.
