Holiday without any worries

MOT inspection for your CIP and installations
The summer holidays are a great time for reflection and good intentions. Today we hope to inspire you to add periodic maintenance to your new resolutions.
If CIP sets and installations are running without lights on, then everything is fine. Isn’t it?
But compare it to your car.
Even if there is no light on at your display, the mechanic often sees parts that need to be replaced at the MOT. Without this maintenance, your car would no longer drive (properly) over time.
The same applies to your CIP and process installations.
A pump that makes a different noise can cause metal particles over time.
A valve that is difficult to close will cause consequential damage in the long run.
A burnt-out electric motor? Gets stuck because of that previously jammed bearing.
Don’t like surprises?
Then we have good news. With regular maintenance, you can avoid extra work, costs and downtime.
In concrete terms, good periodic maintenance for your CIP consists of:
2 x Per year
- Check and calibrate conductivity transmitters. (See our post of 14/6)
- Internal, visual inspection of the CIP. (Do the tanks look clean?)
- Inspection of the unit. (Do you see anything abnormal or hear a strange sound?)
Yearly
- Replace valve seats. (Due to the high chemical load, the seals have to endure a lot)
- Calibrate the temperature transmitter.
- Check the flow transmitter. (The measurements can deviate during the year)
- Check the pressure transmitter. (The measurements can deviate during the year)
Have the MOT of your CIP, installations and your car been arranged? Then you can now enjoy a holiday without unpleasant surprises.
Have a nice holiday!
