The 3 phases of our Process Engineering Process

Every process engineer at Fluidz works according to a structured, yet flexible, design process.
This phased approach creates clarity, transparency, and manageability in every project.
As a client, you remain in control throughout all phases.

1. Conceptual Design

We determine the process concept, the possible technical solutions, and the overall configuration of the installation.
This creates the creative foundation for an efficient process.
If desired, we can develop multiple designs for you and brainstorm with you to determine the best fit.

2. Basic Design

We translate the chosen concept design into a concrete process design that can be used for budgeting, energy, mass balances, feasibility studies and detailed engineering (phase 3).

3. Detailed Engineering

The design is fully developed down to the component level. This forms the blueprint for the mechanical design, electrical design, installation, and software development.

From analysis to optimized design

During the process engineering phase, we focus on all essential components of your production process:

  • Operation and functionality
  • Performance and capacities
  • Safety measures and regulations
  • Energy consumption and sustainability
  • Automation concept and control

All information is translated into a detailed P&ID and a comprehensive item list that includes product flows, utilities, and required equipment.
The piping layout, location of equipment, fittings, and instrumentation are integrated, and the process design is optimized.
This way, you receive a process design that fully meets your production needs.

You will receive the complete documentation from us:

  • PFD (Process Flow Diagram)
  • P&ID (Process & Instrumentation Diagram)
  • Item list/ equipment list
  • Specifications of tanks, pumps, heat exchangers and equipment
  • Instrumentation specifications
  • Process description
  • Utility specification (water, electricity, steam requirements)
  • SIL and ATEX classification (if applicable)

This documentation is the basis for further detailed engineering, realization and installation.

Process engineer experienced

Our designs always comply with:

  • Legal guidelines (NEN-EN)
  • Industry-specific guidelines (e.g., EHEDG, GMP+, HACCP)
  • Company-specific standards and internal standards

This ensures that you receive a design that is not only technically robust but also fully compliant and ready for audit, validation, and production.

Are you looking for a process engineer who thinks beyond standard solutions?

Fluidz Engineering helps you with process engineering that increases flow, efficiency, and reliability in your process installation.
We like to think outside the box, embrace challenges, and provide solutions that work.
